Jake’s Corner is local Scottsdale writer/director Jeff Santo’s third feature film. Produced by Tim Comstock and Hollywood Heard, Jake’s Corner was filmed on location in Arizona from May 14 – June10, 2007. Filming took place in the actual high desert town of Jake’s Corner, and in the cities of Payson, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.
Jake's Corner is the story of Heisman trophy winner and  ex-NFL star, Johnny Dunn. Dunn walked away from the game early in his career, after a family tragedy, to live a relatively secluded life far from the spotlight in a small, desert town he owns called Jake's Corner. Johnny's quiet life is altered dramatically when he is forced to care for his young nephew, Spence, who suffers a family tragedy of his own. Spence brings an innocence to this town of adults who, in turn, share their wisdom with him.
Santo’s last film This Old Cub received four stars from the Arizona Republic and rave reviews in the LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Sun-Times, Rocky Mountain News, USA Today, and Premiere Magazine.
Jake’s Corner is Co-Produced by former Phoenix Sun and NBA All-Star, Dan Majerle, and Executive Produced by successful Arizona Businessman, Mark Breen, and software entrepreneur Doug Wheeler.
